Hayworth Hoops was started in 1992 by a couple of youth coaches (Bill Scott & Doug Carper) who wanted to play more games.  They took there idea to Rich Vanderloo who got the ball rolling by getting them into the shut down Hayworth Jr. High Building. The first year the league started with 4 teams. As time went on Rich organized the league with the help of Bruce Timmons, Mike Koson, Mike Malanoski, Bill Scott, Jeff Vanderloo, Ras Vanderloo & Phil Tobias.

In the past 32 years 1000's of kids have played in the Hayworth League.  We believe that many area high school teams have benifited from this league by having there local kids play more games than they had ever before.  Many area high schools have had great teams and many have won state championship with kids who have went through this league.
